I ate one raw at the market, so we got a kilo. Cleaning them was fun. We prepared them salted, vinegared, with yuzu ponzu, ginger, and daikon oroshi.

Cooking the whole whiting with leeks fennel saffron to make tonight's dinner----with lobster, shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams, and (haha) tilapia. It was a hit ---brought me back to Lutece. It was nostalgic and ono----purchased whiting at the fish market this morning, changed my dish immediately.
