We had the pleasure of participating in Evening Extraordinaire 2018 at 53 By the Sea alongside Michelin-starred Chef Kunio Tokuoka of Kyoto Kitcho and Honolulu’s Chef Chris Kajioka of Senia. This is the second year that we’ve had the honor of preparing a dinner with Chef Kunio, and it was another incredible night to remember.
Chef Alan has dined at Chef Kunio’s restaurants in the past, and he has always been inspired by Chef Kunio’s interpretation of Kaiseki cuisine. A couple of years ago, Chef Alan and Chef Kunio were introduced by their mutual friend, Mr. Shigemitsu Takami, owner of 53 By the Sea.
