This lamb was cooked in this pot, with all this rice, for seventy people.  It tasted great, however, some local people from Hawaii are not used to eating rice al dente like that.  Just like the risotto, some dont like it crunchy.  In my demo, I made a risotto, and I cooked the rice how I like to eat it which resonated with the Hawaii locals.  I explained that when you go somewhere different, despite their preferences and likes or dislikes, to appreciate and respect other cultures and their ways.  What was interesting about this dish was the technique, the lamb was inverted into the rice.

Chef Gencay gave me a personal lesson and taste of how Turkish coffee is made.  The grind is very fine,  so it is unfiltered and very thick at the bottom of the cup.  I love coffee, so I was very appreciative of this method and taste.

Off to the market, where its always a visual treat. I love the smells, the tastes, the people-watching. This is my most favorite thing to do.  I don't go shopping for clothes or things, but this kind of shopping I can do everyday.
